An invite-only 4v4 summer ice hockey league in Philadelphia for collegiate, junior and advanced players who want real hockey between seasons — not a beer league with the same faces every week. Every roster spot is reviewed by hand.
The League
Philadelphia has plenty of summer ice. What it did not have was structured, competitive ice — games where the pace holds up for all sixty minutes and everyone on the sheet can actually play.
Dropping from 5v5 to 4v4 opens the ice up. More puck touches, more open-ice reads, far more skating. It is the closest thing to a live conditioning session that still counts in the standings.
You should leave in better shape than you arrived, and sharper than when you left school.

The Golden Hockey League, also called GHL Philly, is an invite-only 4v4 summer ice hockey league in Philadelphia. It is built for collegiate, junior and advanced-level players who want competitive games during the off-season.
Current and former collegiate, junior and top-tier travel players. Every application is reviewed against playing history to keep the level of play even across all teams.
Four-on-four opens up the ice. Players get more puck touches, more open-ice reads and far more skating, which keeps game conditioning sharp through the summer.
Yes. The GWHL is the women's league and runs the same 4v4 format and the same application standard as the men's GHL.
Use the Apply buttons above — one for the GHL men's league, one for the GWHL women's league. You'll be asked for your playing history, level and position. Applications are reviewed within 48 hours, and accepted players receive a registration and payment link.
